Official Partner Menstrual Hygene Day

Happy Menstrual Hygiene Day!

For the last five years, we we join our sisterhood to celebrate Menstrual Hygiene Day on May 28th. We are committed to the mission to raise awareness about global issues related to menstrual health and period poverty, including access to menstrual health products, education, and availability of sanitary facilities.

As the leaders of this event say, “No one can solve the menstruation-related challenges women face alone. But together, we can.”

How can we overcome period shame? Say PERIOD. Speak openly about menstruation. There are over 4 billion women in the world, and we still feel ashamed to ask for a pad when we need it. As we work to build a more #PeriodFriendlyWorld, we ask you to spread the word about our workshops that provide period education for girls.

Here are some ways you can further support our mission:

* Join our conversation on social media about gender equality and follow/like us to keep in touch.

* Sign up for our email newsletter to learn more about period education for girls.

* Consider hosting a period product drive in support of our upcoming workshops to donate feminine products.

* You can make a donation or help with fundraising efforts. These contributions will enable us to ship more essential items to Burkina Faso or to accommodate more girls in our next workshop.

*Conduct a charity sewing project to sew reusable pads and keepsake bags to distribute at our workshops.

* We are always looking for volunteers to join GNWL. You could also assist us in connecting with other organizations or grantors to broaden the reach of our mission.

Together, we can overcome period shame.
