YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
Our mission is to focus on issues such as child marriage, period shaming, and gender equality. Girl Now Woman Later, Inc. works towards making girls comfortable with their periods and keep them in school. Help us make a difference in the lives of these young girls.
- Girls in Burkina Faso are exposed to fewer educational opportunitie due to gender inequality, period poverty, forced marriage, lack of money to send girls to school, and the lack of valuing girls’ education.
- Child marriage is illegal under Burkina Faso law. However, “The majority of girls are still vulnerable because of traditional and religious customs if they live in rural areas.”
- Girls who are provided with enough feminine products and menstrual educational workshops are more likely to stay in school, and those who graduate are less tempted into child marriage.
Change Starts with You: Volunteer for Girls’ Education
As a non-profit organization, we are working to provide period products to Burkina Faso youth to ensure their completion of education. One girl at a time, we are changing the lives of underprivileged girls by giving them the necessary tools to succeed. We rely on our volunteers to perform essential tasks that help our organization flourish in Burkina Faso. If you’re a hard worker with innovative ideas who are dedicated to social change, we want to hear from you.

Girl Now Woman Later Tax ID: 85-0763620
We seek a world without the pink tax, which is just another obstacle prohibiting female adolescents and teens from accessing the care they need. This is why we are collecting sewing pads that we’ll distribute across Burkina Faso to those in need. To do this, we need support from a seamstress who can help us to make comfortable pads for school girls. This is one opportunity for you or your community to give back to African youth by donating feminine products or undergarments.
Whether you’re a small business or a large corporation, please consider using your platform to benefit female youth in Burkina Faso.
Keep African girls in school.
- Host a Period Supplies and/or Bra Drive with an accompanying social event to gather necessary products.
- Invest in a stock and donating the proceeds to our cause.
- Match an employee’s financial gift to the organization. Using our Tax ID, have your employee present the ID to your HR department to successfully donate (Girl Now Woman Later’s Tax ID: 85-0763620).
Join the Movement: Sewing Reusable Pads
Join us in making a lasting impact on girls’ education in Burkina Faso. Many schoolgirls miss classes because they lack access to menstrual products. You can help change that.
We are collecting reusable pads, feminine products, and undergarments to distribute to those in need. If you are a seamstress or part of a sewing group, your skills can make a difference and help us create comfortable, reusable pads for schoolgirls.
This is a meaningful way for you or your community to give back and support African youth. Together, we can fight period poverty and work toward a world without barriers like the pink tax, ensuring every girl has the care she deserves.
How to host a Bloom & Brunch Bras-Fest for Empowerment
Brunch with a purpose. Bloom with a cause.
Period Supplies and Bra Drives are the simplest way to support our cause in Burkina Faso. Prepped with the feminine necessities to succeed, period products and bras keep young girls thriving in school and lead to a high-quality education.
With access to menstrual products and properly fitting bras, girls can thrive in their learning environments free from shame, discomfort, or interruption.
If you are interested in hosting a Period Supply and Bra Drive in your area we provide the guidelines for a successful drive.
Be the Movement: Advocate for Girls’ Education
Our organization’s success starts in the classroom, even right here in the United States. Whether you’re an education leader looking to get students involved in international community service or a student passionate about helping others, you can become an assigned college or high school ambassador to raise awareness of rampant period poverty in Burkina Faso. You’ll have the opportunity to host local period product and bra drives, organize small fundraisers, and post about your efforts to contribute to our cause.
